Objective: This study focused on the percentage of high school students under academic pressure and signs if suffered from academic pressure.

Methods: A cross-sectional quantitative study was conducted in the form of a survey of 596 students of grades 10, 11 and 12 in Ha Nam province, including Binh Luc and Kim Bang districts.

Main findings: 93.46% of students struggled with academic pressure. The research also indicated that academic pressure was not influenced by gender, class, academic strength, or areas. In addition, fatigue, anxiety, and distraction (lack of concentration) were common signs in students who were under academic pressure.

Conclusions: Most students in high school were under academic pressure in learning with some identifable signs; therefore, students need to be interested by teachers and parents to deal with academic pressure and prevent from negative effects of academic pressure.
