Objectives: to evaluate the working condition of female sewing workers in the Tien Thuan Garment Company Limited in 2017.
Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted among 932 female workers in sewing line. Data were collected by self–flled questionnaire and observation.
Main findings: Height desk: 78.4 ± 0.9 cm, height chair: 47.9 ± 2.3 cm, adjustable desk and chair (45.7% and 49.9%), the frequent heat exposure at work: frequently (13.6%), sometimes (80.5%), the frequent high light exposure at work: frequently (1.0%), sometimes (58.7%), monotonous (74.4%), the work was confned (21.2%), frequent work postures were bent over (13.5%).
Conclusions: Sewing machine operators performed monotonous and highspeed precision tasks that required sustained non-neutral joint postures and highly repetitive movements.
