Objective: The study aims to describe the situation of first aid and treatment of occupational accidents at Vinh Dong villages.
Methods: It was cross-sectional descriptive study with application of quantitative research method. Study was conducted at Vinh Dong villages from December 2016 to June 2017. The research subjects were 140 occupational accidents from interviews with 416 carpentry workers.
Results: All of occupational accident cases were first aid. The most co-workers are those who first-aiders for victims (57.8%). As many as 76.4% of occupational accidents cases were taken to be treated at medical facilities. Where the victim transferred for treatment was the commune health station (71.0%). 19.6% of the total number of occupational accidents was inpatient treatment. 76.2% of inpatient treatment was provided by the District Health Center.
Conclusions: All of occupational accident cases were first aid, first-aiders were mainly co-workers, and the most of occupational accidents were treated at public health facilities in the district.
